Vupoint AI January 2026 firmware release note:

RISCO  is happy to release the latest firmware update for the VUpoint AI video devices line. 

1. New Features

• NVR / Camera – Added video loss in normal events:

• NVR / Camera – Add a delay for triggering video loss event

• NVR – The video loss event is disabled by default
• NVR – Added Firmware upload for cameras when opening remote configuration via Installer Cloud in IP camera maintain

• NVR – Added “RISCO Cloud Push” to Exceptions menu

• Camera – Added exceptions menu in Alarm> Exception 
• Camera – 4 MPX PoE and Wi-Fi cameras now support 640×480 sub stream
• NVR / Camera – The default sub stream is set to 640×480
• Camera – Thermal and Wi-Fi cameras support Video Tampering event
• NVR / Camera – Change the text RISCO ID to Serial Number in System -> Information

• Camera – Added the general tab in System -> General

• Wi-Fi Camera – Added the option to press the hardware reset button once to switch back to Hotspot mode and connect the camera to a new SSID without defaulting the camera.
• Non-PoE NVR now shows the outgoing bandwidth in System->Information

2. Bug Fixes

• NVR – Fixed PTZ control
• Camera – The scan button is not active in hotspot mode of Wi-Fi IP cameras
• Camera – Fixed heatmap statistics not being accumulated
• Camera – Deterrence lights switch in Line Crossing event are not saved after reboot (4MP PoE)
• Camera – License plate events are not shown in the AI alarm list of the live view on the web of 5 mpx cameras
• Various bug fixes and improvements
