The Strategic Buyer is responsible for all sourcing activities, aligning them with business objectives to optimize costs, quality, and supplier reliability. This role plays a critical part in developing and implementing procurement strategies that support innovation, efficiency, and long-term value for the organization.
Role definition
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to support organizational goals.
- Source electronic and mechanical components and participate in the component selection process in collaboration with R&D.
- Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Identify and implement cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
- Establish and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead supplier selection processes, including issuing bids, defining evaluation criteria, and selecting preferred suppliers.
- Drive supply chain efficiency and excellence across procurement processes.
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Manage multi-year contract purchases, ensuring agreements are in place for efficient execution and optimal pricing.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
- Proven experience in managing purchasing functions and supplier negotiations.
- Strong negotiation skills.
