We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Sales & Business Development to lead and expand our Smart Building & Smart Home division. This executive role will oversee a multidisciplinary team of sales professionals and technical support experts, spearhead strategic growth initiatives and driving business expansion in domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep market insight and a passion for building high-performance teams, strong customer relationships, and scalable sales processes.

Role definition

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and technical support teams within the Smart Building/Home division.
  • Define and implement a comprehensive sales and business development strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with manufacturers, distributors, system integrators, consultants, electrical contractors, and wholesalers.
  • Drive demand generation through targeted market development activities and specification with key stakeholders.
  • Manage and optimize the sales pipeline, including forecasting, CRM accuracy, and project tracking from lead to closure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, operations, and R&D teams to align go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent the company in high-level industry events, exhibitions, and customer engagements.
  • Establish KPIs and performance benchmarks for the team, providing regular coaching and performance reviews.
  • Lead training, onboarding, and enablement for sales and technical staff, as well as external partners.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to overall business planning and strategic direction.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven leadership in sales and business development roles, preferably in smart home/building automation, electrical, or integration sectors
  • Demonstrated success in managing and growing high-performing sales and technical teams
  • Deep understanding of solution selling, project tracking, and customer relationship management
  • Strong network and experience working with specifiers, consultants, and key stakeholders in construction and automation ecosystems
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
