Can I install the workstation on more than one computer? The number of workstations specified in the license represents the maximum number of concurrent workstations that can be connected simultaneously to the SynopSYS Server. The software can be installed on any number of computers, however the server will limit the number of concurrent users based on the license limitation.
Although the HASP (license dongle) was installed successfully, when logging in to SynopSYS I receive a message that the license is invalid. What should I do? The driver for the HASP key was not installed. This may happen if you did not complete the "Found New Hardware" wizard when you first inserted the dongle. Go to the SynopSYS installation CD, open the HASP folder and run the HASPsetup.msi to install the driver.
A user cannot log in to the Workstation. Why? Users must explicitly receive permissions to log in to the Workstation applications, in addition to permissions to view data and perform actions. These permissions are defined in the Authorization Manager.
In the SynopSYS Starter application, the SynopSYS Server fails to start, reporting database errors. What's wrong? The SynopSYS database must be constructed first using the SynopSYS Initializer utility. Once you complete this process, reboot the computer and the SynopSYS Server will start.
In SynopSYS I can arm a partition even though some of the zones are tripped (not ready). Why?
SynopSYS allows you to execute the same actions permitted on your ProSYS panel. If the ProSYS panel is programmed with "entry follower" zones, you are allowed to arm even when these zones are tripped. |
